I’ve known Dionne for many years, and I’m very happy to personally endorse her for Coldstream Council. Dionne is one of those people who gets things done. She is community-minded, hardworking, thoughtful and incredibly focused. She has started and built three successful businesses and is currently running her third while also operating a successful hobby farm in Coldstream. Anyone who has owned a business knows that success doesn’t happen by accident. Dionne does her research, makes informed decisions, chooses a direction and then puts in the work to make it happen. What I particularly respect about Dionne is that being forward-thinking doesn’t mean forgetting where we came from. She understands and values Coldstream’s rural roots, not just in principle but through her own experience living and farming here. She understands the needs of a rural and agricultural community, while also recognizing that Coldstream is changing and that the decisions made today need to consider what this community will look like years from now. Dionne is decisive, but she isn’t careless. She listens, does her homework and thinks things through. Once she believes she has the information she needs to make the right decision, she has the confidence and determination to follow through. Most importantly, I know Dionne personally. I know her work ethic, her character and how much she cares about her community. I believe she would bring a practical, thoughtful and hardworking voice to Coldstream Council, and I’m proud to support her. Rick Latta

I no longer live in Coldstream, but I have had the pleasure of knowing Dionne through school , and as an adult with Bagel Lane. I recall the opening day of Ellison Elementary 9-8-98 when Bagel Lane thanked the staff with goodies. She is energetic , thoughtful, and you can trust what she says and you can believe she has the drive and initiative to do the job. I would certainly give her my vote . Dionne, has the energy, and business experience. There are many challenges these days with much uncertainty with in our communities. Will there be enough funding and policies in place to get projects done, for municipal, business and personal development. Is the planning and development in place for growth in the next few years. Dionne, is familiar with planning and development, costs and budgets. She knows how to rearrange and restructure to make a project come to light and on budget. I will never forget the first time I met you as the owner of Skivy's. Dionne I have always admired your work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit! I had no idea you started that business at 18! I met Dionne nearly 30 years ago when I was lucky enough to get to work for her at Bagel Lane! One of my first jobs and one of the most impactful experiences of my working life.
